Inviting Team Members

Add people to your workspace.

Overview

Inviting a team member adds an external user to your workspace at a chosen role. They receive an email with a sign-up or sign-in link; once they accept, they appear in Settings -> Members and immediately get the access their role allows.

Seats are counted against your plan's member limit. Pending invitations don't consume a seat until the invitee accepts. You can revoke a pending invite at any time, and you can change a member's role after they've joined.

Before You Start

  • You must be a workspace admin to invite or remove members.
  • You need available seats on your plan. Check the seat count on Settings -> Billing before inviting in bulk.
  • Decide what role each invitee needs. See Roles and Permissions for a comparison.

Steps

  1. Open Settings -> Members.
  2. Click Invite member.
  3. Enter the recipient's email address. You can paste several comma-separated addresses to send a batch invite.
  4. Select a Role: Admin, Member, or Viewer.
  5. (Optional) Add the invitee to one or more Teams so they pick up shared access immediately on join.
  6. Click Send invite. Spojit emails the invitation and shows it under Pending invitations.

Roles at a Glance

  • Admin - Full access. Can manage members, billing, connections, and every workflow.
  • Member - Can build, edit, and run workflows. Can manage connections they own or were granted.
  • Viewer - Read-only access to workflows shared with them and their executions. Cannot edit or run.

Managing Pending Invitations

  • Resend - If the invitee didn't receive the email, click Resend to email a fresh link.
  • Revoke - Cancels the invite. The recipient's link stops working immediately.
  • Expiry - Invitation links expire after 7 days. Resend after that.

Tips

  • Invite by team rather than one address at a time when onboarding several people in the same function.
  • Start new hires as Viewer while they learn the platform, then promote to Member once they're ready to edit.
  • Audit the member list quarterly and remove anyone who no longer needs access.

Common Pitfalls

  • The invite email can land in spam. Tell the invitee to look there if it doesn't arrive in a couple of minutes.
  • Once you hit your seat cap, the Invite member button is disabled. Upgrade or remove someone first.
  • Inviting an address that already has a Spojit account on another workspace adds them as a member of yours without creating a new account.
