Klaviyo and Resend: Newsletter Subscriber Welcome Template
A ready-to-build Spojit template that adds every new newsletter sign-up to a Klaviyo list and sends a branded welcome email from your own domain with Resend.
What It Builds
A Webhook Trigger receives each newsletter sign-up from your form or site. A Klaviyo Connector node in Direct mode adds the subscriber to your chosen list, then a Resend Connector node sends the first branded welcome email from your verified domain. That single send kicks off the rest of your onboarding sequence.
The Prompt
Paste this into Miraxa and it builds the workflow, connecting the tools for you:
Build a workflow that triggers on a webhook when someone subscribes to my newsletter, takes the email address and first name from the payload, adds the subscriber to my Klaviyo "Newsletter" list, and then sends a branded welcome email from my domain using Resend that greets them by first name and links to my latest posts.
Connectors Used
- Webhook Trigger - fires whenever your sign-up form posts a new subscriber.
- Klaviyo - adds the subscriber to your named marketing list.
- Resend - sends the first welcome email from your verified sending domain.
Customize It
Change the list name from Newsletter to whatever segment you use, swap the greeting fields if your form sends a full name instead of firstName, and edit the email subject and body copy in the prompt. You can also point Resend at a different verified domain for a sub-brand.
Tips
- Verify your sending domain in Resend before the first run, or the welcome email will be rejected.
- Direct mode keeps both connector calls deterministic and free of AI cost, which suits a fixed sign-up flow.
- Have your form send a secret header and enable Custom HMAC on the Webhook Trigger so only your site can start runs.
