Shopify and Resend: Abandoned Cart Recovery Email Template
When a retail shopper leaves an over-the-counter purchase unfinished, this Spojit template emails them a branded nudge to come back and check out.
What It Builds
A Webhook trigger listens for Shopify abandoned-checkout events. A Connector node in Direct mode reads the checkout details, and a Resend Connector node sends a personalized recovery email from your own retail domain with the shopper's name, the items left behind, and a link back to their cart.
The Prompt
Paste this into Miraxa and it builds the workflow, connecting the tools for you:
Build a workflow that triggers on a Shopify abandoned-checkout webhook, then sends a branded recovery email through Resend to the shopper. Greet them by first name, list the over-the-counter items left in their cart, and include a button linking back to the checkout so they can complete the purchase.
Connectors Used
- Webhook - the trigger, fired by Shopify's abandoned-checkout event with HMAC verification.
- Shopify - supplies the shopper name, line items, and checkout recovery URL.
- Resend - sends the branded recovery email from your own retail domain.
Customize It
Tweak the prompt to change the tone, swap the subject line, add a discount code, or send a short follow-up sequence after the first email. You can also add a delay so the email goes out an hour after the cart is abandoned rather than immediately.
Tips
- Verify your sending domain in Resend before going live so emails land in the inbox, not spam.
- Use the Connector node in Direct mode for the Shopify read to keep it fast and predictable with no AI cost.
- Keep copy retail and product-focused: no clinical or health advice for over-the-counter items.
