Monday and Slack: Birthday and Anniversary Shout-Out Template
A daily scan of a Monday.com people board posts birthday and work-anniversary shout-outs to a team Slack channel automatically.
What It Builds
A Schedule trigger fires once a day and a Connector node reads your Monday.com people board, comparing each person's birthday and start date against today. When a match is found, a Slack Connector node posts a friendly shout-out to your chosen channel. The whole flow runs hands-free so no celebration slips through the cracks.
The Prompt
Paste this into Miraxa and it builds the workflow, connecting the tools for you:
Build a workflow that runs every weekday at 9am, reads the people board in Monday.com, and finds anyone whose birthday or work anniversary is today. For each match, post a shout-out to the #team Slack channel that names the person and says whether it is their birthday or how many years they have been with us.
Connectors Used
- Schedule trigger - runs the scan once a day on the time and timezone you set.
- Monday.com - reads the people board to find today's birthdays and anniversaries.
- Slack - posts the shout-out message to your team channel.
Customize It
Change 9am and the days the schedule runs, swap #team for another Slack channel, and edit the message wording in the prompt. You can also point the scan at a different board or only celebrate work anniversaries by removing the birthday clause.
Tips
- Make sure the Slack connection has permission to post in the target channel before your first run.
- Use Direct mode on the Slack node for a fixed message format, or Agent mode if you want Spojit to vary the wording each day.
- Set the Schedule trigger timezone so 9am lands in your team's local morning.
