Deputy and Monday.com: Overtime Threshold Flag Template
This Spojit template tallies each employee's weekly hours in Deputy and raises a Monday.com item for anyone who crosses your overtime threshold, so managers can review before payroll closes.
What It Builds
A Schedule trigger fires once a week and pulls the past week's approved timesheets from Deputy. A Transform node totals hours per employee, a Condition node keeps only those above the threshold, and a Loop creates one item per flagged person on a Monday.com board for manager review.
The Prompt
Paste this into Miraxa and it builds the workflow, connecting the tools for you:
Every Monday at 7am, total each employee's approved Deputy hours for the previous week. For anyone over 40 hours, create an item on my Monday.com "Overtime Review" board with their name, total hours, and hours over the threshold so a manager can review it.
Connectors Used
- Schedule trigger - runs the weekly tally on a cron of your choosing.
- Deputy - reads approved timesheets and employee names for the prior week.
- Monday.com - creates a review item per flagged employee on your chosen board.
Customize It
Change the 40 hour figure to your jurisdiction's threshold, swap the schedule to the day and time your pay week ends, and rename the target board. You can also adjust which fields land on each Monday item (such as department or role) right in the prompt, with no second prompt needed.
Tips
- Make sure your Deputy connection can read approved timesheets, not just rosters, so totals reflect actual worked hours.
- Both connector steps work in Direct mode here: each calls one exact action, so the run carries no AI cost.
- If staff span multiple locations, add a per-location threshold note to the prompt so Miraxa groups totals correctly.
