Deputy and Monday: Leave Request to Approval Board Template
This Spojit template turns new Deputy leave requests into Monday.com board items so managers can track and action pending time-off in one place.
What It Builds
A Schedule trigger runs on a cron you set and checks Deputy for new or pending leave requests. For each one, a Connector node in Direct mode creates an item on a Monday.com board with the employee name, leave type, dates, and current status. Managers then review and approve from a single board instead of chasing requests across tools.
The Prompt
Paste this into Miraxa and it builds the workflow, connecting the tools for you:
Build a workflow that runs every weekday morning, fetches new leave requests from Deputy, and for each one creates an item on my Monday.com "Leave Requests" board with the employee name, leave type, start and end dates, and a status of Pending Approval.
Connectors Used
- Schedule trigger - runs on a cron and time zone you choose.
- Deputy - reads new and pending leave requests.
- Monday.com - creates a board item per request for managers to action.
Customize It
Change the schedule (hourly versus once a day), point at a different board name, or adjust which fields land in each item. You can also tweak the starting status column or add a manager column so requests route to the right approver, all by editing the prompt before you build.
Tips
- Make sure your Deputy connection has permission to read leave data, and your Monday.com connection can create items on the target board.
- Keep the Connector node in Direct mode for a fixed, predictable create-item action with no AI cost.
- Match the Monday column names in your prompt to your real board so fields map cleanly on the first run.
