Shopify and Slack: New-Customer Welcome Alert Template
When Shopify creates a new customer, this Spojit template posts a Slack alert to your sales channel so the team can welcome them right away.
What It Builds
A Webhook Trigger listens for Shopify's customer-created event. A Connector node in Direct mode then posts a message to your chosen Slack channel, formatted with the new customer's name, email, and location. The result is a real-time heads-up the moment someone signs up, with no manual checking of the Shopify admin.
The Prompt
Paste this into Miraxa and it builds the workflow, connecting the tools for you:
Build a workflow that triggers when Shopify creates a new customer and posts a message to the #sales Slack channel with the customer's full name, email address, and city and country so the team can welcome them.
Connectors Used
- Shopify - fires the Webhook Trigger on the customer-created event.
- Slack - posts the welcome alert to your sales channel.
Customize It
Swap #sales for any channel, and change which fields appear in the message: add the customer's accepts-marketing flag, the tags Shopify assigned, or the signup date. You can also reword the alert text to mention who should follow up, all without writing a second prompt.
Tips
- The Slack connection needs permission to post in the target channel; invite the Spojit app to it first.
- Direct mode is ideal here since the action is one fixed Slack post, so there's no AI cost.
- Verify the Shopify webhook's HMAC secret on the Trigger so only genuine Shopify events start a run.
