Resend and Mailhook: Branded Reply-to-Forwarded-Inquiry Template

Forward a customer question to a Spojit Mailhook address and get back a tailored, on-brand reply sent from your own verified domain through Resend.

What It Builds

This Spojit template starts with a Mailhook trigger: you forward a customer's inquiry to a unique address and the run fires within seconds. An Agent-mode Connector node reads the forwarded message and drafts a tailored answer in your brand's tone. A Resend Connector node then sends that reply from your verified domain to the original customer, so the response lands in their inbox as if you typed it by hand.

The result turns a forwarded question into a polished, sent reply with no copy-pasting. Because the reply goes out through Resend rather than Spojit's built-in mail service, it carries your own from-address and domain reputation.

The Prompt

Paste this into Miraxa and it builds the workflow, connecting the tools for you:

Build a workflow with a Mailhook trigger for forwarded customer inquiries. Use an Agent-mode Connector node to read the forwarded email in {{ input.text }} and draft a concise, friendly reply in our brand voice that directly answers the customer's question. Then use the Resend connector to send that draft from support@ourdomain.com to the customer named in the forwarded message, with a clear subject line, so a forwarded question becomes a sent, on-brand reply.

Connectors Used

  • Mailhook trigger - generates a unique forwarding address; any mail sent to it starts the run, exposing the forwarded message as {{ input }}.
  • Connector node in Agent mode - reads the forwarded inquiry and drafts the tailored, on-brand answer.
  • Resend - sends the drafted reply from your verified domain with the send-email tool.

Customize It

Change support@ourdomain.com to your own verified Resend from-address, and adjust the brand-voice wording in the prompt (formal, playful, terse) to match how your team writes. You can also tell the agent to pull the customer's name and the question out of the forwarded body, or to add a signature line. If you only want a draft for review rather than an immediate send, ask for a Human approval step before the Resend node.

Tips

  • Verify your sending domain in Resend first; the send-email tool only delivers reliably from a domain Resend has verified.
  • Forwarded mail often wraps the original message in quoting and headers. In the prompt, point the agent at the meaningful question so its draft answers the customer, not the forwarder.
  • Use Agent mode here because drafting a tailored reply needs judgment; switch to Direct mode only if you later want a fixed, templated response with no AI.

Common Pitfalls

  • Mailhook replies are always asynchronous, so the sender of the forwarded mail gets no automatic response. The customer reply must go out through the Resend node, not back to the forwarder.
  • If the from-address is not a verified Resend domain, the send fails. Confirm the domain before turning the workflow on.
  • Anyone who knows the Mailhook address can trigger a run. Add a From allowlist on the trigger so only your team's forwarding addresses are accepted.
